One Bexar County race in the November election is drawing the most interest -- the race for sheriff.

Republican incumbent Susan Pamerleau won the office four years ago, citing her experience as an Air Force major general and senior vice president at USAA.

Democratic challenger Javier Salazar says his 23 years of police service make him better qualified, having served as an internal affairs investigator, public information officer and as head of the San Antonio Police Department Integrity Unit that examines officers’ criminal conduct.

Ross Ramsey, executive editor of the Texas Tribune, joins Rick Casey to discuss the fact that the Hillary Clinton campaign is buying time for TV ads in Texas.

Casey closes out the show with his Last Word, which focuses on Donald Trump's feelings about Mayor Ivy Taylor and other police news.

Tune in to Texas Week at 8 p.m. Fridays.
