Officials investigating universities over sexual assault allegations

Email share

A federal investigation is under way over how sexual assault allegations have been handled by three Texas Universities.

The exclusive story by Texas Tribune reporter Matthew Watkins identifies Trinity University, Texas A&M University and the University of Houston as the targets of the investigation.

The Tribune reports federal investigations normally result when universities don’t do enough to punish students accused of rape or harassment.

But, in documents obtained by the Texas Tribune, Texas A&M is being investigated for the opposite.
