Turning genes on or off

Epigenetics is the study of changes that can determine whether genes are turned on or off. Researchers at UT Health San Antonio say our ancestors supplied epigenetics that continue down the inheritance line. If a grandfather had a health problem, then the expectant father passes those epigenetic behaviors down to the new baby. Mass research has centered on expectant mothers.
