Elinor Wonders Why: Leave it to Ari/ Snow Friend
Snow Friend - Elinor, Ari and Olive are building a giant Snow Friend, but there isn't enough snow to finish their masterpiece. Luckily, the next day brings fresh new snow, but this snow won't stay packed at all - it just falls apart. After they go in the house to warm up, they observe some snow melt and get sticky, and they figure out a solution - warm up the snow! When they put their plan into action, the warm snow has just the right stickiness for packing. Just in time to build a super Snow Friend. Hurrah!
Activity:
Cooler temperatures and first snows are great opportunities to spark interest in science. Use these wintry books, experiments and more to explore winter.
Sid wakes up and discovers that his ice pops melted! This leads him to ask," Why do things have to melt?" After investigating, he learns that if liquids don't stay in a really cold place, they slowly melt over time. He also discovers that liquids can freeze into ice and then melt back into liquid.

Nature Cat Man-Oh-Mangrove/ Northern Lights Sights
Aurora Borealis, also called the Northern Lights, is supposed to be one of the most amazing sights in all of nature. The Northern Lights look like colorful, beautiful rays of light that sweep upwards from the horizon like willowing curtains in the winter night sky. Colors in the sky? Mind blown! But finding the Northern Lights proves harder than they think. Where are you, you most elusive Northern Lights?!
Activity:
Explore the Northern Lights by researching interesting facts, exploring a map and making your own Northern Lights window art with melted crayons.
