The state funeral for former President Jimmy Carter, who died Dec. 29 at age 100, will be held at Washington National Cathedral on Thursday, Jan. 9. President Joe Biden will deliver a eulogy. Carter was the nation's 39th president.
PBS News will provide live coverage of the National Funeral Service, starting at 8 a.m. KLRN TV will broadcast the event on Channels 9 and 9.1. The exact duration is unknown, but we anticipate coverage will be about 3-1/2 hours.
