Home away from home? Exploring a recent request by the Spurs

Email share

This week On The Record, host Randy Beamer talks with Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff about the Spurs request to play more “home” games away from home.  As you’ll hear, the Judge is not a fan of the idea.

We talk about City Council’s Redistricting effort with City Attorney Andy Segovia and Re-districting Committee Co-Chair Bonnie Prosser Elder.  They share what they are hearing from citizens as they hold public meetings on the plans to redraw district lines.

Next, Adelita Cantu, PhD, RN, Vice-Chair of the Climate Equity Advisory Committee and member of the Citizens Advisory Committee, CPS Energy for District 7, explains why she and others want the federal government to put tougher restrictions on air pollution.  Their request has much to do with emissions from the JK Spruce Coal Plant on the city’s southside that are affecting the health of residents in that area.

Finally, on Reporter’s Roundtable, Express News Digital Content Producer Nick Shepherd shares details of his in-depth piece on recycling, and how San Antonians are doing in the effort to recycle.
