Defunded, Not Defeated.

The future of KLRN will be shaped by our community’s response to this moment. 

Overnight, the United States Congress passed the Federal Rescissions Act of 2025, clawing back approved funding for PBS. As a result, KLRN will lose approximately $2 million dollars of committed support for 2026 and 2027. 

KLRN remains steadfast in our mission to serve our community. 

Thank you for having called, emailed, and advocated for KLRN, your messages of support mean the world to all of us, and have provided both comfort and motivation in these turbulent times. 

I often get asked by members of our community, "How can I help?" 

Here are some ways:

• If you’re not already a member, now is the time to join 
• If you already already a member, consider giving monthly  or making an additional gift
• If you’re ready to make a greater impact, join our Jim Lehrer Society
• Include KLRN in your estate plan
• Become a business supporter
• Donate an unwanted vehicleor real estate
