Passenger growth continues in San Antonio

Email share

San Antonio International Airport experienced an increase in passenger traffic for the sixth consecutive month. A recent changes in schedules and the addition of nonstop flights have influenced the continuous increment.

Southwest added new daily nonstop service to Kansas City, Missouri, and incremented services to Dallas and Houston. Frontier continued to offer nonstop, year round service to both Denver and Las Vegas since May.

However, the amount of international passengers decreased in a year over year comparison as an outcome of the reduction by Southwest to Mexico City, Interjet to Toluca and Aeromexico to Monterrey.

Air Canada will begin nonstop service to Toronto, Canada in May. Frontier Airlines will launch new nonstop service to Chicago O’Hare in April, along with resuming seasonal service to Atlanta and Philadelphia.
