Dear Friends,

April is here, bringing opportunities to celebrate Earth Month, National Poetry Month, and exciting new PBS programming! As the school year continues, this is a great time to keep students engaged with meaningful, standards-aligned resources that support both classroom instruction and at-home learning.

At KLRN, you can always find an excellent variety of enriching programs both on-air and online. Below, you will find recommendations for PBS KIDS shows and supplemental educational resources designed to support you and your students. We are here for you, and we appreciate all that you do!

KLRN’s The Healthy Kids Project (Grades PreK-2) features 10 engaging lessons using song, movement, and animation to promote healthy habits. Students learn to make better choices like drinking water and choosing fresh foods while building positive strategies such as goal-setting and self-confidence. Each lesson includes a 60-second video, overview, lesson plan, and activity, making it an easy, turnkey resource that fits into any classroom without taking time from core subjects.

With appreciation,

KLRN Education Team
