It's time to get ready for Back to School!
KLRN presents a fun, free Back to School event for the whole family in collaboration with the San Antonio Food Bank, San Antonio Medical Foundation, United Way HOPES, & Dual Generation initiative.
Join us Saturday, July 19th from 10 AM – 1 PM for a fun FREE Family Event! Families can enjoy games, activities, and a visit by Rosie from the PBS KIDS show "Rosie’s Rules". Local community organizations will provide FREE resources, activities, and more for families attending the event.
We'll also be distributing free backpacks, books, and other school supplies for school age children. These items will only be available on a first-come first-served basis while supplies last. Please note that registration to the event does not guarantee that you receive supplies. More information about the backpack and school supply giveaway below.

Pre-Registration will close on July 18th; however, on-site registration will be available on the day of the event.
Activities Offered
- 10AM - 1PM Children’s Pavilion: Resource Tables
- 10:30AM, 11:30AM, and 12:30PM Meet & Greet with Rosie from PBS KIDS show "Rosie’s Rules"
- Time TBD: Cooking Demonstration in Culinary Classroom
- Time TBD: Performance by Grupo Folklórico de Bendiciones
- Cooling station with special screening of PBS programs
- Face painting and photo booth
- Teachers, be on the lookout for an Educators’ Resource Table during this event!
- 11AM Backpack & Supplies Pick Up (While Supplies Last): These will be provided on a first come first serve basis while supplies last. We will have backpacks available with supplies to provide to families that are in need of these items.
**Backpack & School Supply Giveaway Details
Registration does not guarantee that you receive a backpack. Child must be present at registration for you to receive a bracelet. The bracelet allows you to pick up a backpack. Backpacks are only available while supplies last. Backpacks are provided by San Antonio Medical Foundation, United Way San Antonio, HEB, & Bexar County HOPES Program.
