Join KLRN as we kick off the Week of the Young Child with Kids Day in the Park! This family-friendly event promises to provide fun and educational activities for children ages 10 and under and will be held rain or shine.

More than 1,000 people are expected to attend this FREE spring event. Families will have an opportunity to visit numerous informational booths sponsored by schools and child care centers, non-profit organizations, local businesses and city departments. Programs, like KLRN’s Health Kids Project and Ready to Learn, will share activity ideas adults can offer to help prepare the children for school success. Agencies will share information on free parent and caregiver workshops; many of these workshops provide families with hands-on learning activities, free materials and books.

Meet & Greet* with Malik from Work It Out Wombats will happen at: 10:30AM, 11:30AM and 12:30PM
*Costume character is only out for 30 minutes at the end of the 30 minutes families are welcome to stay in line to wait for the next scheduled time to meet Malik.
Parking & Map:
Parking will be available around San Pedro Spring Park and at the San Antonio College Parking Garage 3 (next to the Micronaut Center and Early Childhood Center).
