Won't YOU Be Our Neighbor? 

Hosted by KLRN, PNC Grow Up Great, and Fred Rogers Productions, Be My Neighbor Day is a FREE event that celebrates what it means to be a caring neighbor. 

Children and families will have the opportunity to give back to our community by assembling learning kits for local children and create “Hello, Neighbor” greeting cards our friends in Uvalde. There will also be a special appearance by Daniel Tiger!

It's a "grr-ific" way to begin a lifetime of neighborly volunteerism! We can’t wait to see you at the event!

EVENT LAYOUT

EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES: 

Daniel Tiger will appear for meet and greets at 10:30, 11:30 and 12:30 PM.  

Families can take part in a variety of activities like the exciting PNC Mobile Learning Adventure.

The Mobile Learning Adventure (MLA) is a traveling exhibit that provides an opportunity for parents and caregivers to learn about the importance of early childhood education while they engage in fun activities with their children. The MLA is a part of PNC Grow Up Great – a $500 million, multi-year bilingual initiative that began in 2004 to help prepare children from birth to age 5 for success in school and life.

Other activities include:

• Sensory Stepping Stones
• Fine Motor-home made maraca
• Story time and Create a Fan: Promote early literacy and creativity.
• Fill your flower with your acts of kindness

• "Kindness Rock Painting"
