Heavy rains in San Antonio are helping to increase the mosquito population.
The San Antonio Metropolitan Health District asks residents to keep emptying any containers with standing water to keep mosquitos from laying eggs.
This is especially important now that seven confirmed cases of the mosquito-bred Zika virus have been discovered locally.
