World War II: In Our Words
7:00 p.m. each night

Speaking from four quintessentially American towns: Mobile, Alabama, Sacramento, California, Luverne, Minnesota and Waterbury, Connecticut, Ken Burns’ The War brings to life a time when the impact of World War II was felt in every American neighborhood and across the ocean divide to the battlefields of Europe and Asia.

In an exploration of the most intimate human experiences, this 14-hour documentary takes viewers through poignant memories of the American home front, oversees battle scenes, dramatic historical footage, historical photographs and actual sound tracks to give the film a rare and visceral immediacy.
