Lorraine Hansberry: Sighted Eyes/Feeling Heart focuses on the life of the late playwright and activist Lorraine Hansberry (1930 – 1965) best known for A Raisin in the Sun, the first play written by an African American woman to be produced on Broadway. The film will premiere on KLRN on Friday, January 19.

KLRN was one of four PBS stations selected to participate in engagement initiatives in support of the film. KLRN will host two public screenings, a playwriting workshop at a local high school facilitated by the Renaissance Guild, public performances and an ongoing community conversation via social media.
