CLIFFORD Makes Adopt-a-Dog Month Something to Bark About

CLIFFORD THE BIG RED DOG visited San Antonio in October of 2006 as the official “spokesdog” for Adopt-a-Dog month--an entire month dedicated to finding homes for dogs.  He kicked off this effort on Friday, October 5 when Mayor Hardberger presented CLIFFORD with a jumbo San Antonio pet license. Clifford also received a certificate from the Humane Society for a “spa day” that includes grooming and a claw clipping—no small task for such a large dog! During CLIFFORD's visit, he found new homes for eight pets with the help of KLRN and the Humane Society SPCA during an event on Saturday, October 14 at South Park Mall. Thank you to all who joined us and made the event a great success.
