A Place of Our Own Sessions
These fun, interactive sessions explore one of many topics covered in the television series
A Place of Our Own and its Spanish language counterpart Los Ninos En Su Casa, which airs weekdays from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm on KLRN-TV, channel 9.
In addition to finding out about what kinds of things you can learn from A Place of Our Own/Los Ninos En Su Casa, you’ll walk away with a children’s book, a set of activity idea cards, colorful tip sheets, and more! Free childcare and a meal are provided. This project is not intended for “formal” caregivers, such as center-based child care providers or home registered providers.
Introduction Series
These sessions provide an excellent overview for informal caregivers. Participate in all three sessions and receive a free gift and certificate of completion. Snacks and childcare are provided. This project is not intended for “formal” caregivers such as center-based child care providers or home registered providers.

- Session 1: Connecting to Resources in Your Community
- Session 2: Fun Learning Activities
- Session 3: Using Literacy & Math To Develop Math Skills
Early Childhood Series
These sessions provide more information about young children, and are recommended for caregivers who have completed the Introduction Series. Participate in all five sessions and receive a free gift and certificate of completion. Snacks and childcare will be provided. This project is not intended for “formal” caregivers such as center-based child care providers or home registered providers.
