Dear KLRN Viewers,
It was with considerable soul-searching and regret that we bring an end to our weekly program Texas Week with Rick Casey. The program has been running for seven years and for several years we had sponsorships, which helped to cover the costs of producing such a quality show. Those sponsors declined to renew and KLRN funded the program, which is costly, without sponsorship support, while looking for external funding.
We appreciate Rick Casey for his work and dedication through these years. Together, we have presented local issues, discussed topics of importance to our community, and started conversations that have led to bigger ideas and solutions. Evan Smith and the Texas Tribune have also been an integral part of our program ensuring that we deliver the most up-to-date state news and politics each week.
We are proud of the work we have done on Texas Week with Rick Casey and will continue to provide other quality programming to you, our viewers.
