KLRN announces staff promotions: Lauren Silva and Maricella Borroel

KLRN-TV, San Antonio’s Public Television Station, announces the promotions of staff members Lauren Silva and Maricella Borroel.

Lauren Silva, a 7-year veteran and most recently Director of Development, is being promoted to Vice President of Institutional Advancement. Ms. Silva is a San Antonio native and a graduate of the University of the Incarnate Word. During her tenure at KLRN, she has been instrumental in securing funding for numerous educational and operational projects.

Maricella Borroel is being promoted to Vice President of Education. Ms. Borroel joined KLRN in 2008 as the Director of Early Childhood Services. Prior to KLRN, Ms. Borroel was the Program Director at AVANCE San Antonio. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Studies at Boston University. Under her leadership, KLRN has expanded educational services preparing children for school and bridging digital media content into the classroom.
