Raising Readers: Preparing Preschoolers for Success

Course Description:

This course focuses on preparing preschoolers for success by developing their early literacy skills. Using recent early literacy research from Susan B. Neuman and Kathleen Roskos, you'll learn to plan meaningful early literacy-learning experiences that build on preschoolers' prior knowledge, expand their vocabulary, and strengthen oral language development. You can expect to spend approximately 2 hours per week online completing the course activities.

Cost:

FREE for childcare providers! This course is a $169 value. The course fee is covered through a grant from the City of San Antonio’s Department of Community Initiatives.

If you haven’t taken an online course before, please attend the orientation session being offered at KLRN. The session will cover how to make your online learning experience a success.
