Program Description
In this high tech episode, we feature the clothing of the future. No, our inventor, Dr. Faramarz Farahi, is not a fashion designer, but he does have some exciting and, some could say, electrifying outfits to model for this episode. Spending his professional life as an electrical engineer, industrial scientist, and educator, Faramarz is most at home in his lab. He brought something to our casting call that we had only heard of in science fiction movies - clothing that can charge electronic devices - while you wear it. Finding a manufacturer, distribution avenues and the right marketing for this fabric proved a challenge for our Everyday Edisons team, but we knew that anyone who has found themselves in an area with no place to recharge communication devices, would have no trouble trying this invention on.
