KLRN airs several programs to help adult learners prepare for
college, succeed in getting a job, refine job skills or earn high
school equivalency. Additionally, KLRN airs an annual College Call-In each spring to connect parents and students with college admissions
and financial aid experts.
Live College Call-In
KLRN’s College Call-In connects parents and students with college admissions and financial aid counselors during a live, televised event each spring. During the broadcast, parents, students, teachers, and school counselors are encouraged to use the call-in number to learn answers to their college-related questions. The event also includes interviews with leaders from local colleges and universities, current college students, and professionals. Special thanks go to our project partner, the San Antonio Education Partnership, for their help in

GED Connection
At the heart of GED Connection are 39 TV programs. These engaging documentary style videos introduce content and give learners a chance to hear from experts in various fields. Students hear and see how the skills they are learning for the GED exam relate to work, home and community life. GED Connection is currently airing on KLRN every Saturday at 7:30 a.m.

TV 411
TV411 is a television series for adults who want to strengthen their literacy skills. Each half-hour episode of TV411 consists of discrete segments hosted by both fictional and real-life personalities. TV411 is currently airing every Saturday at 6:00 a.m - 7 a.m.

Workplace Essential Skills

THE NATIONAL PARKS UNTOLD STORIES PROJECT:
The Untold Stories project brings to light stories focusing on the role of African Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanic Americans and Native Americans in the creation and protection of individual parks. Five original short films were created, and one of those films is about the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park. Click here to watch the film.
