Sharon Moa
Sharon Moa began teaching in 1967 following her husband’s army career to many places from the east coast to the
west coast and to Thailand.
She has taken over 80 hours of credit beyond her BA in drama, reader’s theater, storytelling and also gifted education.
She taught reader’s theater in London to teacher for the University of Maine thirteen summers, and is an active storytelling coach.
She was the co-director of the gifted program when she began her career at Saint Mary’s Hall in 1983. Following many years in that position, she went on to be a fifth form social studies teacher. In that capacity she was the founding director for 14 years of
the Shakespeare Festival with all the fifth form students. She has an early childhood certification and has taught kindergarten in public school as well as Saint Mary’s Hall.
Sharon Moa has been a Saint Mary’s Hall master teacher recipient two times; the first in 2003 and again in 2006.
A life-long learner, and arts enthusiast, she loves the time spent with her family and getting her hands dirty in the garden the best of anything…except maybe that magic moment when she sees the smiles from her students when she knows…THEY GOT IT!
