Biography

Chuck Cureau enjoys a life most people only dream about.

Chuck currently is a host of the popular Discovery Kids series Trading Spaces: Boys vs. Girls, where kids put up their decorating dukes and battle it out in an effort to transform each other's blasé bedrooms into spectacular spaces in just two days! This highly rated show was nominated for a 2006 Daytime Emmy award in the category of outstanding Special Class Series. But Chuck is also well-known to Discovery Kids viewers as co-host of the outrageous animal prank reality series Skunked TV. On Skunked TV he poses as a zookeeper, tourist or whatever other role it takes to spring hilarious hoaxes involving animals on unsuspecting
kids and adults.

In addition to being a TV host, Chuck is an animal trainer, actor and karaoke champion. Born into a military family, Chuck traveled the world as a child. He has lived in Greece, England and all over the United States. As a teen living in Europe, he hosted his own radio show, Chuck's Corner, on the Armed Forces Radio Network. After settling in San Antonio, Texas, he studied television journalism and acting. To take a step closer toward fulfilling his lifelong goal of becoming an actor and television personality, Chuck took a job as a tour guide at a SeaWorld San Antonio to improve his public speaking skills. He soon became fascinated with, and saw the benefits of training animals to educate and entertain the public. After much soul searching, Chuck decided to make a career change. Thus, at the age of 21, he taught himself to swim (no small feat for someone afraid to put his head underwater!) and took a job as whale and dolphin trainer. During his 20 years working with animals, Chuck has trained and performed with not only whales and dolphins, but also sea lions, walruses, otters, birds and many terrestrial animals.

No stranger to television, Chuck has appeared in dozens of local and national television commercials, industrial films, and radio spots. He also participates regularly in on-air fund-raising drives for San Antonio’s PBS station, and has appeared several times as guest co-host of the morning talk show Great Day SA. During a stay in Hollywood, he appeared on The Drew Carey Show, JAG, Felicity, and The Shield. He also made regular appearances on The All New Captain Kangaroo Show, Shamu TV, and The Howie Mandel Show. Chuck has even shared the silver screen with Kevin Spacey and Kate Winslett in the motion picture
The Life of David Gale
and co-starred in the independent film The Sunsetters.

Most recently Chuck was hired by the NBA champion basketball team, the San Antonio Spurs, to serve as in-arena host and
PA announcer.

Currently a resident of San Antonio, Texas, where he continues to train animals, Chuck enjoys traveling and karaoke singing.
He is the three-time winner of city karaoke tournaments, winning $1,000 each competition as well as a trip to
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico!
