Dr. Viki Ash is the Coordinator of Children's Services at the San Antonio Public Library. She received her Master's degree from the University of Texas in 1983 and became a children's librarian. In 1992 she went back to school, earning her Doctorate in 1996, also from UT. She served on the faculty of the School of Library and Information Studies at Texas Woman's University from 1996 through 2000, teaching various Children's Literature courses. After serving as Youth Services Coordinator for the public library in Spokane, Washington for five years, she accepted her current position and returned to San Antonio to share books with the city's young people including two grandchildren of her own.
