Publishing on the Web
Participants will explore the use of the Internet for school-based Web sites and other kinds of Web-publishing projects. They will see how Web-based information can be used by teachers in the classroom, by administrators, and even to keep in touch with parents and community members.

Teaching and Learning with Graphic Organizers: featuring Inspiration©
This session looks at the ways visual learning can enrich the educational experience in all subject areas in K-12 classrooms. Inspiration© software is featured as the premier electronic graphic organizer for schools. Participants will discover how to harness the power of graphic organizers to expand and enhance thinking and learning and use Inspiration© 7.0 software for presentations, personal productivity, and in the learning station or lab.

The Classroom Computer as a Learning Station
The most common use of a computer in the classroom is usually one student in the back using it for reward and remediation. Although such usage can be valuable, this session will examine ways of using a computer for directed exploration, to foster cooperation, and to access and organize information.

Teaching with WebQuests
Use WebQuests—inquiry-oriented activities in which the information that students interact with is found within Internet resources—to enhance your curriculum and engage students in meaningful research.

Contemporary Issues: Using Technology for Discussion, Debate and Problem Solving
How can technology foster whole group and cooperative learning activities? This session explores software programs and Web activities designed specifically to stimulate class discussion and develop decision making and critical thinking skills. Also explored are methods for taking software programs designed for individual use and using them successfully with large or small groups.
