Presenters Biographies
Rose Mary Castro

Rose Mary Castro recently retired from the San Antonio Independent School District after 37 years in education. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Instructional Technology. After working as a science teacher and an instructional coordinator, she will begin work in September as an Education Specialist for the University of Texas at San Antonio. She is also a National Facilitator for PBS TeacherLine. She lives with her husband and has two grown children and a little brown dog who claims to be a Chihuahua.
Charlotte Dolat

Charlotte Dolat is a fifth grade teacher in the Alamo Heights Independent School District. She has been an educator for 15 years.
Education- Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with a major in English and Reading and a specialization in English as a Second Language from Stephen F. Austin State University. Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Technology
from Houston Baptist University.
Linda Flores
Linda Flores is a 2nd grade teacher for the ECISD. This is her 20th year in education, and her 17th year teaching at Pecan Valley. She has taught regular ed, bilingual ed, and co-teach special ed. She is currently the Technology Coordinator at her campus, and integrates technology into her curriculum everyday. Linda has been selected twice as the campus Teacher of the Year, and was also the East Central ISD Elementary Teacher of the Year. Linda was also the recipient of the Best Buy Teach Award.
Mary Griffin
Mary Griffin, Ed. S., is the Technology Integration Specialist for Comal ISD. This is her third school year with Comal and she brings
to this district a wide range of experience and expertise. She taught
at New Mexico State University, owned a consulting company
that assisted rural school districts in grant writing and technology implementation and she has served as a consultant for Region XIII.
Mrs. Griffin mentors the district's 18 campus Instructional Technology Specialists as well as provides technology training and curriculum support for all content areas.
Miguel Guhlin

Transforming teaching, learning and leadership through the strategic application of technology has been Miguel Guhlin's motto. As a veteran educator comfortable with modeling the use of technology at the classroom, campus, and district level, he has a simple goal. That goal is to use powerful technologies to transform practice and enable learners to communicate and collaborate with each other. As Director of Instructional Technology for a large urban district in Texas, President of the state-wide Technology Education Coordinators group in one of the largest United States technology educator organizations, he continues to model the use of emerging technologies in schools. Bill Lewis

Bill Lewis is the Direct of instructional Technology in Seguin ISD. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Applied Learning and a master’s in Education. This is his 15th year in education. Bill spent 7 years as a middle school science teacher and high school basketball coach. He as also served as a technology facilitator in Austin ISD and as Director of Technology in New Braunfels ISD. Bill serves on the Texas Computer Educators Association board of directors as the Area 13 representative. He has been a Discovery Educator for two years.
Marguerite Lowak

Marguerite Lowak is the Instructional Technology Specialist for the East Central Independent School District. This is her 17th year in education. She taught 5th grade for two years and 1st grade for 15 years. Her love for her students and technology has been a wonderful combination. Marguerite has been campus Teacher
of the Year, District Teacher of the Year, and Region 20 Elementary. She was also one
of two Texas teachers who were the recipients of the Texas Exes Award for
Outstanding Elementary Teachers.
Chris Lucas
Chris Lucas is the State Program Coordinator for PBS TeacherLine of Texas. Chris teaches in the Communication Department at Trinity University and has held teaching appointments at the University
of Texas and Concordia University in Austin. As a research associate with the Telecommunication and Information Policy Institute at
the University of Texas, he co-authored extensive research on rural broadband and telecommunications policy for state and federal agencies. He is currently finishing a doctoral degree and conducting research on digital technologies and
professional identity.
Konise Millender
Konise Millender is the cinema producer at North East School of the Arts. She has produced hundreds of films that have screened at places, such as Toronto, Sundance and the Los Angeles Film Festival. When she is not working on documentaries, she writes screenplays. She has worked for NBC New York and the Latino Film Festival.
She has also served as a judge for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Most recently, Mrs. Millender was chosen to help develop the new technology test for teacher certification. Mrs Millender has a degree in Communications from St. Mary's University and recently received her Masters in education from
the University of the Incarnate Word. She has worked in television, radio and film.
Her credentials include everything from reporting to camera operating. She also runs her
own photography and videography business with the help of her husband and
her two VERY adorable children.
Greg Rodriguez

Greg Rodriguez is a Technology Integration Facilitator for San Antonio ISD. He has 11 years of experience in education. Greg has conducted several presentations at the local, state and national levels. Greg holds his Bachelor of Arts in English and Spanish from Southwest Texas State University, as well as his Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Instructional Technology from Houston Baptist University.
Larry Stegall

Larry Stegall was hired as a Technology Integration Facilitator for San Antonio Independent School District in December of 2005. He was previously Special Schools Instructional Technologist for Northside ISD, a position he held from 2002 to 2005. From 1997 to 2002, Larry Stegall served as the Director of Technology for the Texas School for the Deaf, Systems Engineer for Apple Computer and Senior Field Services Engineer for Scientific Learning Corporation. From 1986 to 1997, Larry Stegall served as classroom teacher, coach, and instructional technology staff development specialist for the Harlandale Independent School District in San Antonio. Living in Texas since 1965, Larry earned his bachelor's, from the Angelo State University in History. He enjoys a variety of hobbies including video production and sailing. Larry has been married since 1984 to Leslie Stegall. They have two sons, David and Christopher.
