Welcome to the Institute for Connecting Teachers and Technology
Post-Conference Web pages!

Malinda McCormick
I invite you to browse through and look at how we captured your day’s experience with photos, videos, and audio. You can access presenter materials here, visit the KLRN Teacher resources pages, or go over and browse the TeacherLine course catalog. In addition, we are also streaming the keynote presentation by Don Knezek as an opportunity to review his excellent presentation and to share with others who could not be there that day.

As I reflect on the days event, I was especially taken with how engaged you were as a group at lunch. There were many ideas shared amongst you. Listed below are some of the responses we got from you regarding the educational technology best practices you’ve
seen or done in your schools.

“We are using a program called NetTrekker that allows students to search
for educational sites safely. The teachers use it as a tool to help the students learn
while using technology.”

“First grade teachers at our school are using the SMART Board. Students interact with it by touching the screen to manipulate things like parts of a plant.”

“We use KLRN Connect/Unitedstreaming to bring historical figures to life!”

“We are using the Interwrite School pads in our high school math classes. We can use up to seven pads at a time. Students solve math problems on this portable pad and the
image is projected on the wall.”

Thank you to everyone for attending and making the day such a success.

We’ll see you next year for our Tenth Anniversary ICTT 2008!
