This year's ICTT held on September 23, 2006 was rockin'. Working along the theme of “Rockin' With Technology,” this year’s event focused on video-related instruction. Breakout sessions by Master Teachers from around the city included topics such as digital storytelling, podcasting, wikis and more.

The 2006 Institute for Connecting Teachers and Technology was made possible through generous contributions by HEB and The Marcia and Otto Koehler Foundation.

Overview

ICTT is designed to:

-- Integrate technology into classroom instruction
-- Utilize media as an effective teaching tool
-- Participate in teacher-created lessons that are “hands-on” and technologically engaging
-- Learn about new products that are sure to inspire students

During the conference master teachers from areas school districts conduct workshops using prime-time instructional programming and web-based technology that explains, motivates, reinforces, and addresses the different learning styles of students. The Institute also offers sessions that spotlight effective cutting-edge technology and strategies.

Thanks to all of our participants!
