On September 25, 2004 educators from South Central Texas entered the Frio Building at the University of Texas San Antonio to the tune of a patriotic cadence and a flood of red, white and blue. These teachers and other education specialists gathered to “cast their vote for technology” by attending the Institute for Connecting Teachers and Technology (ICTT).
With over 150 people in attendance, the ICTT was able to cater to smaller groups of teachers through several breakout sessions. Each session highlighted practical technology application in the classroom and provided lesson plans created by master teachers.
Not only did attendees walk away with valuable classroom-ready resources, but several walked away with a door prize, too. Prizes included Inspiration software, a school scholarship for a Colonial Williamsburg electronic field trip, and a Palm Pilot.

|
ICTT is designed to:
Integrate technology into classroom instruction
Utilize media as an effective teaching tool
Participate in teacher-created lessons that are “hands-on” and technologically engaging
Learn about new products that are sure to inspire students
During the conference master teachers from areas school districts conduct workshops using prime-time instructional programming and web-based technology that explains, motivates, reinforces, and addresses the different learning styles of students. The Institute also offers sessions that spotlight effective cutting-edge technology and strategies.
Thanks to all of our participants!
