Play & Learn

Play and Learn Flyer - English

Play and Learn Flyer - Spanish

We all have a wonderful time as we do activities together and where we have fun playing while learning. About 6 out of 10 children in San Antonio are being cared for by a parent, relative, friend, or neighbor and are not in a child care center or school. We want to share information and resources with you. Everything we offer is FREE! So come out and join us as we all play and learn together. We would love to see you there.

KLRN
Would you like to give your child the chance to play with other children? Are you looking for new ideas to teach your grandchild at home? Would you like to spend time with us as we play and learn together? If you are a parent or take care of a child under the age of 5 years old in your home, please join us as we play and learn together. Wear your play clothes, because we will be moving around, playing together, and getting messy!

KLRN offers Play and Learn groups at different locations around San Antonio throughout the year. Currently, KLRN is offering Play and Learn groups at The Neighborhood Place (3014 Rivas), and at Stafford Early Childhood Education Center (611 SW 36th St.) on San Antonio’s West side for residents in zip codes 78207, 78228, and 78237. Extending our reach into the East side, KLRN is now hosting groups at the Tynan Early Childhood Education Center (925 Gulf Street) for residents in zip codes 78202 and 78208. We are also in City Council Districts 8, 9, and 10. We have also started groups at Igo Library.

Little Read Wagon

Little Read Wagon, Early Literacy Initiative of the
San Antonio Public Library

Please join us at the library for fun and interactive learning activities with your young child. Play & Learn at the library includes a group story time, several hands-on activities (some of them messy), and lots of great information on early literacy and the San Antonio Public Library. Our goal is to support FFNs and parents in their important roles as first teachers who are helping young children get ready to read. Activities are intended for children 1 – 5 years; siblings are welcome.

Please call (210) 207-2517 for our calendar.
