Your television is going to change
-- for the better. And KLRN is here to help you make the switch.
After February 17, 2009, the federal government requires that all TV stations, including KLRN, switch to digital-only broadcasting.
You'll love KLRN even more after you switch to digital. You'll have more KLRN channels to choose from, plus great pictures and sound. And digital KLRN is free to everyone. You can still watch KLRN on your current set over the air with an antenna or rabbit ears. You don't need to buy a new TV or subscribe to cable or satellite.
But there are steps you may need to take now... like ordering your digital converter box coupon.
If you currently subscribe to cable or satellite, you won't need to worry about the switch.
Other television sets will not receive a television signal after the date of the switchover. To keep getting a signal from your older television set, you will need a digital converter box.
Newer television sets MAY already have a digital tuner built in. You don't have to wait for the digital conversion. You can start receiving digital quality picture and sound and additional channels now without having to sign up for cable or satellite.
