 About Us > Production Services

Whether your production is small or huge,
KLRN has the studio where you can make it happen.

Whether you need a small place to shoot some portrait shots,
or you want to uplink an interview to the rest of the world,
KLRN can accommodate.

First off, the studios:

Our small studio is the AT&T. It measures 30' x 40', its walls are covered in black fabric, scenic elements are available.

And then there’s the Big Enchilada: The Robert L. B. Tobin. It’s 60' x 70' with a lighting grid at 18', also has black fabric wall, but a white, translucent cyc hangs in front of that. The lighting grid is easily accessible by a Genie Lift; lighting and dimmers are available for both studios.

We’ve got a rear-screen projection system that we can feed with your graphics or logos, or even a video downlink from another state. Whether you have a production where you need to seat 100 people, or an interview with one subject, KLRN’s studios can handle it.

Bring your own cameras and lights if you wish, or rent ours:

  • 3 - Ikegami HDK-75EX cameras on Vinten pedestals (HD or SD)
  • 2 - Sony handheld cameras with remote CCU
  • 3 - Teleprompters
  • IFB with mix-minus capability
  • Variety of backgrounds
  • Fiber feed to Vyvx
  • BetaCam SP, HDCam and 1" videotape playback available

For rates and details, please contact Jack Morgan, Director of Production at (210) 270-9000 or jmorgan@klrn.org.

THE NATIONAL PARKS UNTOLD STORIES PROJECT:
The Untold Stories project brings to light stories focusing on the role of African Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanic Americans and Native Americans in the creation and protection of individual parks. Five original short films were created, and one of those films is about the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park. Click here to watch the film.
